I think you might be thinking of analog signal. Analogous Colors are combinations of two or more color pairs that are spaced equally from each other on the color wheel. Since these colors have similar values and hues they are the easiest on the eye. However, they tend to not contrast very high due to the color pairs being so close together in range.
